What and when is The Nature of Craft in 2019?
Date: Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, 2019
Time: Saturday: 10 am to 4 pm, Sunday, 11 am to 4 pm
This juried event will include 70+ fine artists and artisans, demonstrations, and food trucks.
We are looking for artists and artisans of the highest quality who exemplify the best of Maine. Handmade creations, nature and wildlife related themes, sustainable products, environmentally conscious processes, or items made in Maine. The majority of the work should be made by the seller. Fine art and craft will be considered and work should include one or more of the above criteria.

Application and Deadlines
Applications for the 2020 craft show will open in March 2020. To be notified by email of when the applications are open, please send your request to email@example.com .
- Inside the Visitor Center (limited to 13 spaces) – $240
- Outside under a large tent or canopy provided by Maine Audubon
- Corner – $220
- Non-corner – $200
- Outside under your own 10 x 10 pop up tent. – $180
We invite artists to set up on Friday, September 27 from 12 – 6 pm, or on Saturday morning between 7 and 10 am. We will have helpers and garden carts available to carry items from your vehicle to your numbered spot. Vehicles may not be driven into the orchard to drop off your set-up.
During the Show
We offer tent sitters for artists who would like to take a break or are doing a demonstration for the show.
We request that after unloading, artists park off-site at Martin’s Point Health Care and take a shuttle back to Gilsland Farm. We want to have as many parking spots onsite for customers as possible.
We will have an overnight security guard on Friday and Saturday nights to watch the set-ups and facility.
All set-ups must be removed on Sunday afternoon.
