Art and Sallie Wilder hosted this walk at the Wilder Farm, which has been in the family since 1863 and is mostly woods now with a few old fields and apple trees.
It has been a "Tree Farm" for a little over 50 years. Cows, sheep, maple syrup, apples and a few field crops have been raised, typical of the hill farms that were sought after in the early 1800's because the first frosts at the end of summer were a little later than down in the valleys.
