Maine Audubon works for Maine's wildlife.

You can, too.

Adopt a Northern Saw-whet Owl

Support northern Saw-whet Owl Research

You can support Northern Saw-whet owl research by "adopting" one of these little brown owls with the big yellow eyes.

Judy Camuso, Regional Biologist with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (and former Maine Audubon staff naturalist), operates one of only 25 banding stations along the East Coast that study the migration habits of Maine’s smallest and most migratory owl, the Northern Saw-whet.

For $25, you'll receive a certificate with your bird's specific information (band number, age, sex, etc.), a handsome photograph of a saw-whet owl,
natural history information and a detailed description of Camuso’s research project.
