2008 Borestone Lodges Open House

12:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday, July 27

Members of the public are invited to tour the historic Adirondack-style lodges and enjoy light refreshments.

Reservations are necessary by Wednesday, July 23. No charge, though donations are gladly accepted.

Allow an hour for a moderate 1.5-mile hike up to the lodges. Alternatively, vehicle and boat transportation to the lodges will be available to those who make a reservation and arrive at the Bodfish Road gate by 12 noon.

Safety Rules

  • Park in the Bodfish Road parking lot.
  • Pets, fires, hunting, firearms, trapping, collecting, off-road vehicles, camping, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Directions

Borestone Mountain Audubon Sanctuary is located on Map 41 of Delorme’s Maine Atlas

Coming from the north or south, take Route 15/6 to Monson. Turn left (heading south) or right (heading north) onto Elliotsville Road. After 8 miles turn left, after the bridge, onto Bodfish Road. Parking area is approximately .2 miles on the left, after the railroad tracks. The gate and trailhead are on the right.
