CANOE RENTALS

Discover the meandering Dunstan River on your
self-guided exploration of this unique habitat, the
salt marsh.

We’ll provide a canoe, map, and nature guide as well as life preservers and paddles.

Daily, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Per hour: $12/member, $12/for Maine residents
on Sundays,
$15/nonmember
Half day: $45

Scarborough Marsh Wish List

Your Contributions Can Help!

The following items, or the money to purchase the items, are needed at the center.

 

Materials and Supplies

  • Canoes – 16 foot ($600 each)
  • Construction materials for a removable boardwalk system at the nature center
  • DVD player
  • Binoculars - several pairs (for kids and adults) ($300)
  • VCR tapes and children's books on the marsh and the ocean
  • Magnified glasses
  • Field Guides to the saltmarsh and ocean and children’s storybooks
  • Art and craft supplies including crayons, markers, paint, construction paper, self hardening clay etc.
  • Life jackets ($6 each)
  • Canoe paddles ($15 each)
  • Library materials.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Painting
  • Building maintenance
  • Nature guides
  • Store help
  • Exhibit production.
