Nature Detectives

For campers ages 6 and 7

June 23-27

In this one-week session, campers are introduced to the mysteries of plants and animals living on the sanctuary. Crafts, songs, and group games allow campers to use their imaginations and become comfortable with the camp experience.

$160/member, $195/nonmember

 

Conservation Kids

For campers ages 10-13

June 30-July 11(no camp on July 4)

Where does chocolate come from? How do we get our water and where does it go? Field trips, hands-on investigations, computer programs, and fun camp games help us investigate our food and water resources so we can find ways to lessen our environmental impact on them. After a fun night hike, campers fall asleep under the stars. Camp ends 10 a.m. Friday morning. $340/member, $405/nonmember

 

Secrets of the Wild

For campers ages 6 and 7

July 14-25

This two-week session is designed to expose younger campers to the fascinating world of plants and animals through hikes, observation, exploration, nature games, and crafts. Sprinkler time, “mud painting,” the “mystery bag,” and self-confidence building are key components of this introductory session.

$340/member, $405/nonmember

 

The water World

For campers ages 8-10

July 28-August 8

Gilsland Farm’s pond, salt marsh, and Presumpscot River provide ideal settings for campers to observe and study the diversity of life in and around wet and wild areas. Search the seaweed, investigate tide pools, and explore ocean beaches during this two-week session.

$350/member, $415/nonmember

 

Nature Detectives II

For campers ages 6 and 7

August 11-15

In this one-week session, campers are introduced to the mysteries of the plants and animals living on the sanctuary. Crafts, songs, and group games alow the campers to use their imaginations and get acquainted with the camp experience.

$160/member, $195/nonmember
