2010 Maine Loon Project Photo Contest

Join our second annual Maine Loon Project Photo Contest!

Are you an experienced photographer willing to capture the perfect picture of a Maine loon? Or are you just starting out with an interest in photographing birds? The Maine Loon Project at Maine Audubon is hosting its second annual loon photo contest this summer, and would like to see your photos. 

Last year, 61 photographers from states all over the nation submitted over 200 entries to our first ever Loon Photo Contest. Here are some of the 2009 winners:

Remember, please respect loons and do not disturb them either on or off the nest, especially at this critical time of the year. Use a zoom lens or watch from a blind to minimize your impact. Best of luck, we look forward to seeing your photos!
